What to do?

Okay, so I have a friend and he's really close. Lately he's been calling me "cutie" and I don't mean to overreact but I don't feel it's right at all for him to call me that despite me having a boyfriend that I love with all my heart. Any advice on how to take care of this situation?

All you can really do is tell him! Refuse to take the compliment, and let him know that you think it is inappropriate of him to try and flirt with you. You are happy with your boyfriend, and you have no interest in interacting in a way that is anything but platonic. Make it very clear how much you care about your relationship, and how you don't appreciate his disregard for the fact that you are taken. I would tell him that it makes me uncomfortable, and that I value his friendship, but I don't want anything beyond that, and I would appreciate if he would respect that. 
If you don't say anything, he might continue to assume that it is okay, and it could escalate. Hopefully, bringing it up to him very honestly will make him realize that you don't like or want it.  
But if you do talk with him about it, and he doesn't respect you enough to stop, then you might have to distance yourself. I honestly don't trust guys who try to flirt with you when they know you are with someone else, or guys who don't take your refusals seriously.

I had a similar situation happen recently. You just have to politely tell him you feel uncomfortable and that he's over stepping a boundary ; especially knowing you're in a committed relationship. If he's a good friend he will understand and apologize. He will be mature about it. And if he turns out to not be mature, or to handle it in a way you think is also out of line, then you need to reevaluate your friendship
