Is nursing equivalent to birth control?

Nooooo. My daughters are 10 months apart because I was told since I was breastfeeding that I would not ovulate.

There so many Irish twins out there because their moms thought that as long as she is breastfeeding,  she's safe.   My MIL told me that I should start to wean my little one at 6 months to prepare for the next baby!

If you wanna get technical, it may help a little but I'd never trust it as the only thing. Condoms and the pill are the best way

You have to be exclusively breastfeeding and any change in your feeding can bring back your cycle(even if you change nothing you can still get pregnant though).
