Baby weights?

Question

Any non first time moms that can shed some light? I've heard the weight they give you during ultrasound is sometimes wayyyy off. Just wondering how accurate they were for you? Asking because at my 32 week ultrasound our baby was already 4lbs 10oz and now I'm terrified of having to push out a 10 pounder!

The estimate, if I am not mistaken is based on head size and stomach size.  Based in my prior children and being measured myself, we "big" heads based on whatever chart is being used.  With that being said, mine were estimated to be at least 2 pounds heavier than they actually were (being of advanced maternal age I have frequent scans towards the end).

Mine were accurate. My boys were 10, 8, and 9. And all a week early and c section. Not a c section bc of their size

With my first at my 32 week ultrasound they said over 6 pounds and she was born at 37 weeks and was only 5 pounds 3 oz so I would say no

I pushed out a 9 lb 13 oz baby and it wasn't bad. Labor wasn't fun (no pain meds, just pitocin to make the contractions worse) but the actual pushing wasn't bad. I pushed for less than an hour and he came out fine. Little tearing only because he had his hand next to his face. I also have wider hips, so not sure if that made a difference. I wear a size 12 normally.

With my son they told me he was going to be a big baby and he came out only weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces. I was told it can go either way a pound less or a pound more.

They do say they can be inaccurate the later in the pregnacy you are but I've found them to be quite accurate for me. My 3rd son was born July 2015, the growth scan at 37 weeks estimated he was 8lb 10oz, 39 weeks he was then 9lb 11oz, he was induced 6 days overdue weighing 10lb 8oz.
This baby due October 1st, I was given a growth scan at 32 weeks and she was already 5lb 5oz! I have to have growth scans fort nightly now but my consultant has said she is likely to be another 10lb + baby. 
My first 2 boys we're both 9lb and I have to say the 10lb 8oz baby was easier to push tbh, I did opt for a epidural the third time since I knew he was big and I will do the same this time. You will be fine, good luck x

With my first baby they had me thinking he'd be 10-11lbs and he ended up being 7lbs 15oz. All my babies have measured ahead and my biggest was 8lbs 13oz.

I am a FTM but my friend that delivered in Feb 2016 was told 2 wks before she gave birth that her baby was measuring over 9lbs. Her baby came out just over 8 lbs two wks later. Don't stress too much about it.

I don't think they told me any of that when I was pregnant. Granted, that was 7 years ago. I have heard they can be off a pound or do either way.
