Flying while pregnant help

So I am going home (Texas to Jersey) and my doctor is closed for the day. I would be 8 weeks when I do travel is it safe to fly during the first trimester? I read nothing saying you can't it's usually the third trimester where you can't fly unless you have permission from the doctor
