37 Week Appt
So I had my 37 week appointment yesterday at 37 weeks and five days pregnant. I got the results of my group B strep test which was negative. I had also been ordered an additional blood test due to a low platelet count. My doctor assured me that that although it was a bit low, there is nothing to really worry about but I'm still a little nervous…
Lastly, she asked if I wanted to know how dilated I was or if I wanted to wait until the next appointment but of course I wanted to know! LOL I wouldn't say it was painful but it was pretty uncomfortable to say the least! I just kept thinking to myself I can't let this get to me because it's not even real the real deal yet!
Anyway I am 2 cm dilated which I don't know if that even means anything or not. My doctor mention that many women still can deliver a little past her due date. Although I am anxious to meet my baby I guess I can wait just a little while longer :)
Does anyone else have any experience with the a low platelet count? Did it affect your delivery experience at all?
