What do you wear for birth?

Do you take a night dress to wear to give birth in? Or just go in hospital in your normal clothes and strip from waist down? I'm a ftm and I have no idea

Yup.. you strip.. only wear hospital gown

I was told I couldn't wear my own clothes or gown now I wonder if they ment during delivery or the entire hospital stay I live in California Maybe thing are different or I misunderstood lol

I was completely naked. I couldn't imagine having clothes on.

Bring comfy clothes for after the birth but you will be in a gown when you deliver. It's just easier that way and if you have a long delivery you won't want to be wearing your regular clothes anyway. Birth is messy lol so might as well wear something that can get thrown out

Didn't have a choice my waters broke and even though I put clean ones on once I got to the hospital my shorts and knickers were soaked through so they gave me a gown. So lovely!

Usually you will go in and wear a hospital gown. After delivery I usually I bring comfy clothes of my own to put on
