I'm calling out of work tonight for a shift I have in the morning tomorrow since we have to give a 6 hour notice. I needed to go to a wedding tomorrow, I already took off but they didn't give me the day. I was going to call him and tell him that  I went out of town for the day and the alternator on the car blew out. I just checked into a hotel and I'm not sure if I can make my shift in the morning since there is no auto shop open at this time. Is this a good excuse? Any detail I could add or take out? Advice? My boss isn't dumb, he knows when people are bs-ing.
