I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant and bought a Doppler to hear the babies heart beat at home as a little reassurance. I had my midwife appointment last week and told her I think I had found the heart beat and she looked at me as though I was stupid, told me I shouldn't have bought one as I'm not medically trained and that it won't be the babies heart beat I'm picking up, it'll be my own. I have listened to both and I'm almost 100% sure they sound different. Is it possible to pick up the babies heart beat at 9 weeks?
