My boyfriend doesn't like my feet?

So in the beginning of our relationship he told me that he had a huge dislike for feet in general and basically asked if I would wear closed toed shoes or socks at the very least. I thought it was weird but said okay because I figured it's a normal thing to hate feet. Well last night he tells me that the reason he said that is because at first he really disliked the way my feet look and that's why he said that, but now they don't bother him. I was upset because my feet aren't fat, they're not weird looking, I always take care of my nails and keep them trimmed and painted and it just really hurt my feelings that that was how he felt. I mean it's not like he's perfect either but I love him despite his flaws! Should I be upset or is it just something to get over? We've been dating almost a year and I know he loves me, I just feel kind of insecure and sad
