Who has girls?

My daughter is 2 and she keeps touching her privates everytime she takes off her diaper. Do all little kids do that or should I be concerned?! I'm trying not to think someone is inappropriately touching my child I would hate to go to jail

It's very normal for any child to do that because they are trying to figure out what it is and what it does ect. My daughter was the same way and she grew out of it after a little while. Just tell her the proper name for it, don't make a cute little nick name for the vagina because God forbid anything does happen to her she needs to know and say the proper name for the body part that was touched so that it's clear.

It's normal they are just realizing there is "stuff" there. The pediatrician said for my kids that it was normal and it's a phase that they go thru for quite awhile.

Very normal my 21 month old is currently being potty trained and I swear she is always digging in her diaper. I taught 2 year olds for 10 years and all kids explore some more then others but all completely normal. But if you think your child is being touched by someone and there are sigh s of that. Then that's completely diffrent and I sure hope it's not the case.

Mine is 2 but did not notice this yet.
I think is normal- they are discovering their bodies
Do teach her what she has there and tell her that no one else but herself / you/ daddy when changing nappies or bathing - can touch her!

My daughter did this when she was little. She'd sit in her room and poke. Of course i go in there and tell her that's a no no lol and also no one but mommy and her are allowed to touch that private part. She doesn't "explore" anymore and she's 7. I think it's important to let your girls in the bathroom when you pee or whatever so you can talk to them about that stuff. :)

My daughter is 4 years old she did that for awhile. I told her it was her toto its what my mom would call it. My mom was very very honest about things and it helped a lot. She told me it was inappropriate to do that and I learned to not do it eventually. As a child you dont know better so it was a repeated conversation. She is just trying to know what it is. Educate her so she knows what it is what it does and goes through. I find that helps. It doesnt have to be big words shes only a child. :)She will thank you in the future.

Good luck!! I find being a mother of a girl is so much fun because you get to see the phases that us a women had to go through as children. We see how they learn and what they understand. I love my baby girl and I love her understanding in what I tell her. She always try to talk to me about it and one day she had a rash and I had to put cream on it and a panty liner and she was mind blowned. She was willing to learn what a panty liner is and what it is for. It makes me happy to know she wants to learn these things at a young age. I feel she will be well educated in the future.
