anniversary baby!
My little girl decided to come on my husbands and my one year wedding anniversary. We were pronounced husband and wife on 8.8.15 at 6:30pm and our daughter entered this world at 8.8.16 at 5:30pm, just one hour before. On the 8th I started to have contractions at 1:05pm that were every 5 minutes apart. My doctor told me they had to be consistent for 1 hour before going to Labor and Delivery. I text my husband at 1:45pm telling him he needed to come home. I waited until 1:45 because I had been havin false labor the week prior and it would be 5 minutes apart and stop at 30 minutes, so since he was leaving work I wanted to make sure I was 100% certain. He got home about 2:50 and by this time my contractions were every 2-3 minutes apart coming like clockwork. My husband drove me to our hospital and we got checked in at 3:15. The nurse told me to give a urine sample, but I couldn't due to feeling like she was coming. They quickly checked my cervix and j was already dilated 8cm.... There was no time for any pain meds. After being there for 10 minutes my water broke and I was at 9cm. Within another 10-15 minute I was at 10cm and it was time to push! Due to my body frame being smaller and my baby being larger than expected there were a few complications with her fitting through the birth canal. The doctor had to use a vacuum assist to get her out. Also because the babies heartbeat was dropping in the birth canal. Since I couldn't logically think my husband said "yes use it". My husband said my doctor was pulling so strongly that when the vacuum came off her head the doctor actually took a few steps backwards. After about 7-10 pushes she finally came out and entered our life. This was the best anniversary gift that God could have given us. No fancy gift could ever be as good as her coming into our life. We will still find a way to celebrate oir anniversary, but for now and always that date will be hers. 💗
