Irregular Heartbeat?

I went to my doctors on Friday, and during my check up we were listening to baby and the heart rate and it just sounded weird. It skipped several beats and would get weak and then speed back up. Doctor said it happens some times but just to be safe she's sending me to a high risk doctor. But I don't get to see him until this coming Friday. I'm nervous. Worried for baby. Anyone else have this happen?? I'm 35 weeks today.

This happened to me at 35w too! It was really stressful but my doctor reassured me that it happens often, especially during labor apparently, and almost always goes back to normal. After my doctor heard the irregular heartbeat on the handheld doppler, I went downstairs to Maternal Fetal Medicine for a Non Stress Test which showed absolutely no irregularities. It happened to me when I was 28 weeks ish... they sent me up for a nst and turned out the baby's heart beat was fine. It happens from time to time, even with us as adults! My doctor said if it happened again, he would send me to a specialist but it hasn't.

This happened to us as well. I had my apt Friday and as he expected the issue cleared on its own. He called it something, but I forget: he said it's super common in third trimester. I wouldn't stress.
