Double Stroller?

I have a 2 year old and am due in about 2 weeks. I am on the fence about purchasing a double stroller. Anyone find this necessary? Waste of money? Suggestions welcome! 😀

I have the baby trend sit n stand deluxe. It can have two stroller seats or the back seat can be taken off for your older child to be able to get in and out more easily.

Had a britax b-agile single for my son, and upgraded to the double side by side version for this next little, kiddos will be about 15 months apart. There's so way I'll be able to baby wear and chase after/hold my sons hand while we're out, and the britax stroller can hold kids up to 40lbs, so we should be able to get some use of it for a while longer! I wanted to get a contours options elite but none of the tandem strollers fit in my trunk!! The side by side would, and luckily britax you can have a bucket on one side! With a fall baby, I knew I'd want something easy to take to the mall and do some xmas shopping and walking!

I think it all depends on your two year old. Ours was 2 in April. We tried so hard to get him to walk everywhere since then rather then depend on his buggy thinking if he's walking we wouldn't need a double. But he's having none of it. He hates walking, and when we say about putting another baby in his old single pram he gets really funny. So we went and got a second hand double graco buggy. I didn't want to spend loads on something that I would use for about 6 months and for the price I could sell it on again and probably get most of my money back after we're done using it. Maybe wait and see what your two year old is like once the baby comes. You might find the 2 year old is happy to walk. But on the other hand they might see a baby in a pram and think " hold on why do I have to walk when they get to sit in a pram".

Depends on toddler. My 2 year old rarely goes in pushchair. He likes to walk. So for us we have a tiny folding pushchair for the rare days we are all out as a family for the day and we will take 2 pushchairs incase he wants to nap. Otherwise whilst I'm shopping or out and about I will just have 1 for baby.

My son is turning 2 next month. I chose to go with a sit n stand stroller. It has one stroller chair and the infant bucket seat clips in. I'm expecting the new baby to be in her bucket seat for at least 6-12 months so for that time my son will sit in the stroller seat. By the time the new baby is big enough to sit in the stroller seat, my son will be almost 3 and will be better able to keep up and will probably be happier to walk but he'll also be able to stand at the back of the stroller or sit on the little bench seat if he needs a break!

I bought one for my 20 month old and baby I'm due with in a few weeks. My toddler doesn't hold my hand or follow me so I honestly think it'll be a life saver to get out of the house. I went with the Graco Duo Modes so that our infant car seat can click right into it and it can be used as a sit and stand when my toddler grows out of it.

I had one and it was a LIFE SAVER when my older 2 were little. Id definitely get one so you dont have to worry about pushing a single stroller and running after a toddler at the same time.

Comes so much in handy if you don't plan on baby wearing... I bought one for my 10 year old niece and newborn nephew and it was such a lifesaver
