Is this right?

So the "safe days" of my cycle would be up to 5 days before I ovulate, yes? Safe days meaning  if I were to have sex on those days there's a lower chance of pregnancy? Obviously whether or not it's protected changes the possibility. But if I had protected sex 5 days before I ovulate does that make me extra safe?? That's the best way I know how to explain it idk 😂
