Demand feeding vs Routine feeding...Thoughts?

While I'm on leave I'll demand feed. This will help my supply. But I'll slowly work on a routine that works with my work schedule so I can pump during recess and lunch (I'm a teacher). I did this with my first child and it worked just fine.

I will demand feed because 1. It regulates supply 2. It is healthier for baby. Feeding Abby on demand will meet baby's needs and essentially give their body its own schedule. Baby's go through so much the first few weeks-months (growth spurts, etc) that a schedule is not good for baby.

Feeding on demand helps establish a good supply, and it leads to a happy baby. My best friend tried to feed her son on a schedule based off of Babywise and he was extremely irritable. She's feeding her daughter on demand and they are night and day different. I think her son was just hungry all the time!

I did routine feeding with my daughter from the start and it worked out great for us. Every baby is different, but I am planning on doing routine feedings with this one as well.
