Milani's Birth Story 8-11-16 ❤️
Ima try not to make this so long lol
So on Wednesday I went to the doctor for my usual 39 week check up. While being triaged, I seen my blood pressure was higher than last visit, 150/100 ( it has been high for the past couple weeks actually but this was too high) . I just knew they were going to send me to the hospital to get monitored. So as expected, after my OB checked my cervix, he states how he didn't feel comfortable sending me home with my BP so high. So before goin to hospital, I went home to get my bags just incase they decided to induce me. I already had a scheduled induction for the 15th but I knew today was going to be the day. So fast forward, they end up deciding to induce me at 9pm, I was only at 2 1/2 cm so they inserted the foley ballon to get me to 4 cm and started the pitocin. The contractions picked up FAST! Lol I wasn't prepared for that pain. Around 12ish I had to pee so I went to bathroom and the ballon fell out, along wit my bloody show, now I'm at 4cm. Shit got real once I got back in bed 😳. The back labor was unbearable!! But I told myself I would not get epidural until I hit 6 cm at least. It's my first pregnancy so I wanted to really get the full on experience no matter the pain. By 3/4 ish am I was yellin and screaming, I couldn't handle the back pains anymore lol. I told the nurse to go ahead n get that epidural ready for me. Suddenly I had the urge to poop. The nurse checked me to make sure it wasn't the baby, it wasn't ( thank god) but I was now at 6 cm. I went to the bathroom, sat on the toilet for about 5 mins, no poop in sight but with every contraction, the urge became stronger n stronger. I then heard a pop and gush of water go into the toilet. I yelled for my mom to call the nurse, they assisted me back to the bed and the nurse checked me again... I was now at 9 cm!!! So damn fast! Back labor was hittin full force, I started beggin them to get the anesthesiologist in to give the epidural. Felt like it took him forever but he came in and administered the epidural ( best thing ever!). Within the next 30 mins I told my mom I felt her head by my vagina opening, she looked and said " nah, I don't see anything" lol I'm like okay... 10 mins later I'm like "Ma, seriously... Her head is right there!" She called the doc In, the doc checked and said "omg she's coming out! Let's get prepped" they literally had to get like 10 ppl in there to prep fast cause my babygirl was pushin her head out herself! I did no work with that. Once the doc sat in between my legs, her head was already out. 2 pushes from me and my babygirl was officially born!! I pulled her up to get her legs out and laid her on my chest.. As cliche as it may sound... I swear at that moment, I swear I finally knew what love was. Milani was born 8/11/16 @ 6:11 am , 6 lbs 3 oz 18 inches
