For lesbian/gay couples:
Legitimate question: does it ever get confusing when both parents are called "mom" (or "dad")?
My niece is in the process of potty training, sometimes when her mom goes to take her to the bathroom she throws a fit and says "no, I want dad to take me!" And vice versa, depending on the day.
Or she'll be playing outside and fall down and ask one of the older cousins to go get her mom, everyone knows exactly who to get.
So if your child has two moms and the tell someone "go get my mom" does it get confusing about which parent the child wants? Or do you go by slightly different versions of "mom" (mama, mommy, etc)
I honestly don't know any lesbian couples with children, so I'm just trying to understand.
