Did Metformin give you killer cramps?

I have been a lucky one to never really have cramping during periods... But the past two periods I've been in Metformin, my insides feel like they are falling out! I just want to curl into a ball! I tried midol, it didn't seem to help much....any suggestions?!

I have PCOS. Metformin takes forever to regulate but don't give up. I never got cramps from taking it. But I do have cramps from the cysts like midol and pamprin don't help. Heating pads are the only thing to even ease my cramps. Metformin made me nauseous if I didn't eat something with it.
