Telling people about a miscarriage?

First of all, let me say that I actually got pregnant after just one cycle of using Glow, so I hope it works for others out there!

​I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks followed by a D&C in early March. We told the few people who knew that I was pregnant, and I ended up sharing with a few people who did not know.
​
​Does anyone else have thoughts about sharing sad news like this with others?

When I miscarried in January I had already told a bunch of people I was pregnant. I didn't find out I had mc til week 10, although he stopped growing at week 6. It was so nice that everyone knew, women I work with were so supportive and shared their stories of mc and subsequent pregnancies. My dad says tell, because people are just as willing to be sad with you as happy with you

I actually found that at my work women who had had a miscarriage would approach me to talk about it. I had just told my principal (at a school) and word gets around, which I appreciated bc I really didnt want to tell people. In the end tho I ve realized that most of the women at my workplace have had at least one mc but all went on to have healthy babies. It's what gives me hope each day to keep going forward!
​I'm so very sorry for your loss. Keep trying and talk about it-  I find it helped me heal somewhat.

Hello, I had MC in Nov, followed by d&c. We didnt tell a lot of people that I was pregnant so didnt share about MC either. But since i get a lot of questions like: "ooh when is your daughter (who is turning 4 soon) gonna get a brother or sister?" Dont u think its time for one more ect.."  I just say it nicely that we have been trying and MCed recently. Usually ppl dont really know what to say after that. But i must admitt im irritated by those types of questions so my response is always like that.

First off, so sorry for this happening to you. I miscarried 4 weeks ago and once it happened I told people. It helped me to have people there to talk about it and for all the support. I rather talk about it then have someone not say anything at all. Good luck with everything. We are so strong!

I miscarried in December, I've found that talking about it actually helps in healing. Once I came to rearms with it I started to open up about it and it was freeing to actually be able to talk about it rather than hide it like it was my fault or there was something wrong with me.
