Medicaid and breast pump??

Who here was Medicaid and got a breast pump covered by them? Do they even do that? If so, what kind of pump was it?

They do cover one but it has to be deemed necessary. So your doctor has to write you a script and you take it somewhere (mine was called Nunns) and then fill out paper and they'll show you which one they cover and then you just wait and they send the information to your insurance.
I did this 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back but!

Mine does, the doctor said she will write a prescription for me to go pick one up from a medical supply place here.

They should cover one with a prescription from your ob, the brand choice(s) varies by state/plan (uhc, prestige, wellcare...).

I did last year. They have all types, I think it depends what your insurance covers. They gave me Ameda, Before the lady came out with the product she said "Is the brand Ameda okay with you?" I said yes because I was in a rush, I wanted Medela. So maybe you can choose what kind you want.

I think my sister got one from wic. I don't know how it works but maybe ask them?
