Bad stomach cramps, nausea, the runs

This is going to sound stupid, but does anyone else get horrible nausea, intense stomach cramps (not like normal period cramps, like gotta go to the bathroom now cramps) and diarrhea on their period? Doesn't happen every day but it is brutal when it does happen. My periods have been irregular for a while (every 3 months or so) But this is the second consecutive month that I've gotten my monthly gift. It just sucks. I had to call out of work today cause I've felt so sick...
