Hi! My bf and i have been going out for 3 years. I am not traditional and we usually switch who pays each date. Well he really wanted to go to a museum and dinner this week. I agreed and we went. I paid $200 and he paid $50. The 50 was for gas and parking. I paid for the tickets, dinner, cab ride. It wouldnt bother me if this was only once but everytime we go out together i always pay way more than my part. My bf works, we are in college so he lives at home, doesnt have expenses such as bills ect. My bf makes more than me so its not like he can't spend a little more. Every day trip always costs me soo much and puts a dent in my pocket. I tried having us each pay our part this time but he didnt follow through. What do i do? Does anyone relate? It just annoys me and he doesnt realize/admit it. Especially when it was his plan. But also always brags to me how lucky i am and i just think to myself "i don't rely on you to pay, or ever assume that he will" i also don't mind paying occasionally but not everytime, or when its my idea. I have bought us plenty of concert tickets for us and never asked him to pay. Yet he always asks me to pay if he buys a ticket.
