Pros/cons of menstrual cup?

What positive/negative changes did you experience when switching to a menstrual cup?

I switched to a menstrual cup my sophomore year of high school and used it until I had an IUD put in (Mirena) three years later. I loved everything about it to be honest. No bad smells when you forget to change your pad, no worrying about the changing out tampons, it's super covert. What I would do is at the beginning of the period when I first started using the cup was wear a pantyliner. It would catch the majority of the blood but anything already on the walls beneath the cup could cause some light staining. When you use the bathroom, empty the cup, wipe it out with toilet paper, clean really well in the shower, and presto! You almskt forget you are on your period. Great for at night, I never had a leakage problem in the years that I used it. What you have to do though is make sure the cup seals around your walls, else you will have major problems AND check how the fast the cup fills up when you are on your period. Otherwise it can overflow in your vagina and leave a mess. One last con, I was a swimmer and a diver and used tampons only for practice because the cup would get water in it with very rigorous aquatic activity. It was fine at the beach, sailing, etc.

1. Learned my body even more
2. No worries of TSS
3. No worries of constantly changing a tampon because I get urine on it 
4. Don't ruin my panties as much
