You have to find things to fill your time and think about how life is  going  to be just fine without him. I once thought I couldn't livr without my ex and I'married now for 2 1/2 years and pregnant. Life is so good and god has blessed me so much. You will find the same.

I think it's different for everyone.  I took a couple months just to know I wasn't getting involved with anyone just because of my ex. Finally I just realized I was ready to date and ended up in good relationship.

Getting over your first love is tough. Reminiscing is never good but accepting the fact that it's over and that you're about to begin a new stage in your life is healthy and promoted. You can't just get over it but doing things you couldn't do while you were in that relationship could be a ease of mind and occupying yourself with meaningful and goal oriented traits is also helpful.
