Ovulation test

Hi folks! This might seem like a question but I'm hoping someone might know the answer to..I was taking Clomid and then was advised by my doctor to have intercourse yesterday and today as well as check if I was ovulating...yesterday and today those tests came out negative for ovulation. The question is: should we still try to have intercourse even though results were negative?
