After how many months/years should I actively try with no luck, to contact a doctor about infertility? 😕

It's never to early to see an OBGYN. However, after a year of trying with no success you meet the medical criteria for infertility and your OB can either start mild treatments like Clomid cycles, or refer you to a fertility clinic.  6 months only if you are over the age of 35.

Usually 12 months, unless you know you have an issue already diagnosed that effects fertility.

I recently read that after about 6 months of no success with accurately timed intercourse, you can see a doctor. 12 months if you're not pregnant yet, but not actively trying. It doesn't hurt to be proactive. We're going into our 8th month and I have an apt with obgyn end of October. I'm hoping I won't need it for that still, but if I do happen to get pregnant, at least I have an ob/gyn already.
