Should I consider BC?

Considering BC because of how great it has been for some ladies! Plus below reasons.
• Girls on here are saying periods lasting 7+ days are bad. My periods range from 7-8 days. BC can cut down or even eliminate periods (if that's not wrong).
• I always get bad cramping on first and a smaller amount on last days. I feel like I can't do too much, just eating and laying there. In between it's totally manageable and painless.
• I have been struggling with gaining weight (I'm a bit underweight due to a disease) and I heard BC would help with that! I also haven't had a single day when I don't have pimples on my face. Tried every facial cleanser. Could BC help? Don't really need harsh medications imho
• I don't really plan on having sex for a while. Virgin life, although I don't think losing my virginity is really that big of a deal.
What do you ladies think? I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that woulf only help a little - it needs to help a lot. Not financially struggling, just trying to be smart with money.

Period lasting 7-8 days is normal. BC can help with acne my friend takes it for her acne. Not all BC makes you gain weight.

It can do all those things for women, but it depends on the person and the brand they get. I know several women who are virgins but use the pill for off label reasons like you mentioned. Talk to your doctor about the right one for you, it may take a few months to start making the changes you want so you may want to stick to it for a while. If it doesn't work, you may need a different brand. Planned Parenthood may be able to help you get more affordable BC if it is too much with your regular doctor.

I think BC could help. You just have to tell your doctor this stuff so they get you on the right one. After a few months if it has no effect you can stop taking it but it doesn't hurt to try.
