Human Pacifier

My baby is 2 days old and I'm over the moon for him I just want to know is it normal for a baby to use mom's nipple as a pacifier? Or is that bad. FTM here so I'm just wanting a little guidance. Yes I am breast feeding, but when he uses my nipple as a pacifier I've noticed he's not gulping and he passes out right after.
