How will they check for Down's now?

I'll try to keep this short. I had my first ultrasound at 11w2d about 3 weeks ago. Baby was measuring 12w2d but they didn't change my due date. They were supposed to be doing the "nuchal translucency" which is when they need a certain view of the babies neck and it helps determine if the baby has/could have Down's syndrome. Well, baby didn't cooperate so they rescheduled me for 2 weeks later. This was odd to me (especially measuring a week ahead) because they said the nuchal had to be done between 11-13 weeks or else baby will be too developed to tell. Well fast forward 2 weeks and I'm 13w4d...baby was still measuring a full week ahead so the tech said he was unable to get it and didn't understand why the previous tech didn't update my due date and have me back in sooner. So now idk how they will check? He didn't seem too concerned, just a little annoyed that the tech last time messed up. I see my doctor Monday so I'll be asking her but I'm just wondering if this happened to anyone else? Or if anyone knows how they'll test now. I assume blood work? With my first they didn't even do this nuchal translucency (different doctor & hospital system) so I have nothing to go off of.
