Do they make you use a catheter during labor??

For some reason I am terrified of using a catheter and I really don't want a little tube shoved up my pee hole! Did you have to use one when you had a baby?

You only need a one if you get the epidural and if you get the epidural you won't even feel it go in or when they take it out.

Yes because I got an epidural. I couldn't even feel it because I was numb.

They gave me one when I had my epidural since I couldn't walk to go to the bathroom. Otherwise they weren't gonna make me use one.

I had to get one because of the epidural. It still felt like I was peeing on myself though.

Yes, if you have an epidrual. Idk if they require you to with other pain meds, but I know with an epidrual you get one. It's not bad.

Only if you receive an epidrual or possibly a c-section but i only had the epidural.

I had one because I had a C-Section they only leave it in for 24 hours afterwards

I had one put in after my epidural, after the birth i had stitches and was terrified to pee. I asked them to give me another one until i was informed how painful it would be without an epidural.

I had a catheter when I was about 6weeks along in the emergency room, they didn't give me any pain meds or numb anything. It really isn't painful, it's just uncomfortable & feels really weird. No clue about labor only 24w & 5d along!

They gave me one because even though with my epidural I could walk to the bathroom, I couldn't tell if I had to pee or not. Then I had it for almost two days after my csection. It was awful but necessary. You can't even really feel it.
