Serious Sleep Question / SIDS
My daughter has had issues sleeping flat on her back, swaddled or not. We found out about 4 weeks in that she would sleep great in her swing or bouncer; I think she enjoyed the "cocooned" feeling. We've finally been able to all get decent sleep with her in the swing, but she's starting to get too long for it. She squirms and within an hour or so her feet are hanging off the end of the swing! I've been staying up watching her and scooting her up.
I want to transition to either her bassinet or crib, but my husband keeps the house absolutely Arctic cold. What are you ladies doing to keep your babies warm? I'm terrified to put a blanket in her crib; she's napped with them (with me watching the entire time) and always flings the blankets over her face. Also, how do I get her to sleep comfortably without being cocooned?
I know we've done ourselves a disservice letting her get used to sleeping in the swing, but it was the only way any of us could sleep. I need advice!
