Any vegetarians out there?!
Let me start with a short little back story:
I was looking more into what it takes to lead a healthy vegan lifestyle and was ready to take that leap when I found out I was pregnant with kiddo number 2. My brother is vegan and I know quite a few other people who have ventured over into the greener, animal friendly grass and so I have a lot of influences. Not to mention the fact that I already don't eat pork because I had a pet pig when in was kid. So why should any other animals life matter less?
But anyways, I found it may be safer at this point to slowly make that transition by first becoming vegetarian. Also, I've seen a lot of articles where vegan mothers have switched to a vegetarian lifestyle while pregnant because of all the added proteins and other nutrients you need while pregnant.
So my question is, I guess, what do I need to know becoming a vegetarian while pregnant?
