Welcome to the Glow Community! There are five rules for participating in our Community:

It's that simple! But in case you need more detail, we've outlined some of the basic principles below:

Be Kind

Help us make the Glow Community a safe and welcoming place for women from all walks of life.

Let’s lift each other up, not beat each other down. Be respectful of others, be kind, and be polite, even when you disagree. Give others the benefit of the doubt. Harassment, bullying, shaming, and hate are not welcome here.

※ No personal attacks, name calling, or slurs. This includes thinly veiled abuse of subgroups of other Community members.

※ Be polite. Disagree without being disagreeable.

※ No harassment, bullying, or hate speech.

※ Do not shame others. Shaming language is not allowed. You can disagree without resorting to shaming. 

※ Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or any other prejudiced remarks are not allowed, including prejudice against others on account of their ethnicities, nationalities, or religions. 

※ Out of respect for the transgender members of the community, comments questioning or mocking their existence, accusing them of "pretending" or referring to being transgender as a mental illness are not allowed.

※ No ableism. Do not use disabilities as slurs. Do not accuse people of being mentally ill because you disagree with them.  

Be Honest.

Trust is vital to the Glow Community. We discuss a lot of sensitive issues in the Community, and we want everyone to feel safe doing so. Be honest in your posts and comments.

※ Don’t misrepresent who you are or where you work.

※ Use only one account.

※ Absolutely no trolling.

Be Helpful & Supportive.

The Glow Community is a place for women to ask questions, share their experiences, and get advice. Support your fellow Community members by answering their questions, providing helpful information, and sharing your own experiences. Respect that everyone will have different opinions and points of view. Be sensitive to the feelings of others.

※ Stay on topic. Post in the appropriate room.

※ Don’t spam the community. Posting the same topic in multiple groups are NOT allowed, and will be removed.

※ The Glow Community is not a place for personal business or commercial promotion.

※ We love to support our users in the Community by offering the Baby Registry to share and gift alike. Registries from Glow are the only registries allowed in the Community, all other links will be removed.

※ Do not post any graphic content or links containing pornography, sexually explicit, gross violence, and/or other content determined by moderators to be inappropriate for the community.

※ Be sensitive to the feelings of others – don’t use inflammatory or shaming language when discussing sensitive issues.

      • Don’t call abortion murder.

      • Don’t call fetuses parasites.

      • Don’t refer to circumcision as mutilation.

      • Photos of stillborn infants or dead children should only be posted to the Pregnancy loss room, and never as propaganda.

※ Don’t shame others or victim blame.

※ Don’t call out other users or groups of users, even under the thin veil of creating a discussion.

Be Safe

The Glow Community is a place where women should feel safe to discuss even the most sensitive and intimate details of their lives, their health, and their fertility. Safety is very important! Use common sense when posting on the Glow Community, and protect the safety of other members by reporting users and posts that break our rules.

※ Report users who are harassing others, soliciting, or otherwise breaking the rules.

※ No nudity, sexually explicit photos, or photos of genitals. Breastfeeding photos are allowed.

※ No sexual solicitation.

※ No private adoption solicitation - if you are interested in adoption please contact your local adoption services.

※ Don’t encourage others to harm themselves or commit illegal acts.

※ Don’t sell, trade, or donate prescription medications.

※ Don’t post your contact details on the Glow Community.

※ Don’t follow medical advice without consulting with your doctor.

Please be aware: we may warn, suspend, or ban active users who do not follow our Community rules. Users who repeatedly break the rules may be asked to leave the Community.

Gift Exchange Rules

※ Gift exchange related posts ONLY. NO emails for gift cards. NO Linktree. NO other outside links or groups.

※ No games, trains, game of chance, etc. Only the admins will run any games or contests including, trains, games of chance, NINJA, ghosting, you can just play for fun! We do this to protect you from scammers.

※ No scam gift exchange. There will be absolutely NO tolerance for stating that you will re-gift a member if they gift you, only to go back on your deal just so you can prompt an easy gift from a member. Glow will NOT be responsible for scammers, so gift at your own risk. But scammers will lead to being banned upon review.

※ No spamming or cold drops. A cold drop is commenting only on your registry with an emoji, sticker, pic, or GIF. We're here to make friends & support each other. Cold drops are considered spam/gift seeking & will lead to being warned or banned.

※ DO NOT post your registry more than once every 3 days.

※ Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam, and irrelevant links ARE NOT allowed.

※ Say thank you. Our community is giving gifts purely out of the kindness of their hearts. If you received a gift from a member of this group. Say a simple THANK YOU!

A few last things to keep in mind:

- Posts denigrating the rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will be removed without warning. We encourage users to send us feedback and ask that everyone do so in a constructive and respectful manner via in-app reporting or email. If your account has been suspended, please do not create another account to access the community. Doing so will earn you a permanent ban. Please do not post or communicate with our community on behalf of banned users. They were banned for a reason. Doing so will get YOU suspended.

- Any post not meeting a moderator's criteria can be removed without notice.

- There are only two posts where debates over the political, moral, ethical, and/or legal dimensions of abortion can be had, and they are both in Controversy  Corner.  Any other posts about abortion as a moral, political, or ethical issue will be removed.  Additionally, there is a Pro-Life and a Pro-Choice group for users who want to discuss these issues with like-minded folks, but please note that they are not debate groups. 

-The Glow Community is primarily a space for women to have a safe and supportive place to discuss their health and their experiences. However, all people are welcome in the Glow Community as long as they follow our rules. 

- If you believe that a crime has been committed, please report it to your local law enforcement authorities. - Please note that the Glow community is mirrored online at www.glowing.com/community so as to reach a broader audience and help even more women take control of their reproductive health. We have several measures in place to safeguard your privacy, but we always ask our users to be cautious when disclosing private identifying information.

-Inactive users who are only here to break the rules will be permanently banned from the get-go.
