So, I'm just going to dive straight into this: if you speak to your OB about depression during pregnancy, can they involve CPS? In my state (SC, USA) CPS is an absolute joke, and right now I am trying to fit me, my fiance and our baby in an old small office room of my MIL's house, because financial issues hit us and we can't afford our own place. I'm terrified that the depression will paint a sign on my forehead screaming "UNFIT MOTHER" (I mean I feel like it already does but now it'll be visible) and if CPS investigates, our small room will be determined unsafe - even if it is temporary. I just don't want to lose my baby, but I also can't keep losing my head to the irrational thoughts.
