Late AF then only bled for ONE day. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi ladies! I know this isn't a "can you see the line?" type post, but my body is doing some CRAZY things, and I'm desperate to find some answers or anyone who's ever experienced this before too!

For starters, I am ALWAYS regular, 28 day cycles on the dot... Been that way for years. This last cycle though, I was 6 days late, but did not take a test (kinda wish I had though!). On the 7th day of being late, I started spotting. It was very light, pink and brown in color and only lasted a couple hours. The next day, I started bleeding more heavy, and it was bright red, but no clots (sorry TMI). I thought AF had finally showed up, but the third day, it went back to spotting, and again was very light & only brown in color. That was IT! No bleeding or spotting since, and only actively bled for that one day, and not even a full 24hrs!

I have no clue what the hell is going on, and am hoping someone has experienced something similar and/or could possibly help me understand! Any insight, knowledge or experience anyone could share would be SO APPRECIATED! Thanks ladies! :-)
