Puking during labor??

Question

So, I have a horrible, HORRIBLE fear of puking, and now that I'm due in two weeks, I keep thinking about it possibly happening during labor! Are there any other mamas with this fear? And is there medication I can ask for during labor to stop nausea and vomitting? I'm scared I'll be too wound up about the puking to concentrate on pushing.

I did not puke during labor, though I was extremely nauseous with and without pain meds. Also, I spit up a bit but that's about it. I'm also not a puker though, I wish I could but I just dry heave or feel super sick.

I puked during my first labor, but it was extremely stressful (I was 16) and I was on a ton of medication (preeclampsia). My second labor was so much easier and better and didn't even feel the need to puke. Every labor is different. Just got to remember to relax. (:

You can ask for gravol during labour, especially if you take a pain killer like morphine. With my son my midwife wanted to give me a shot of morphine to help me sleep and I said I would only take it if I got gravol too to prevent the morph one from making me nauseous. I ended up getting a gravol suppository because apparently that way works best :/

I threw up during labor with my first born cause I was pushing for so long. But it happened so fast that I barely remember it happening, it was just pure liquid and just a little bit. Afterwards I was pretty nauseous cause of the pain meds I was on for healing and they can give you something for it. Even if you feel slightly nauseous at all before the actual pushing they will for sure give you something. They just want you to be comfortable. With my second I didn't get sick at all.

I puked with my first. But I was so caught up in everything and it seemed like everything was moving so fast I didn't even focus on it. I threw up maybe two times before I started pushing. All the things you worry about during labor(i.e puking or pooping) all seems to go out the window when your actually there. Your mind is on your baby and you forget about everything else.

I puked with my first. I think the anxiety of puking just made it worse. I told the nurses I was nauseous and they didn't give me anything. Second time around I'm still scared and don't want to puke again
