When are opposite sex friendships crossing the line?

So, my husband has female friends from high school. I am ok with that because I also have male friends. Lately, he has been talking/texting one friend in particular who is going through a bad break up.  We'll my husband took it to the next step and went to her home just the two of them. I feel like it was inappropriate and anything could happen from him "consoling" her. He thinks I am over reacting. I just wanted to get other opinions on the issue. Does anyone this this should not happen again or should I just got with it?

Friends or not, your husband has no business consoling another girl from a break up alone in her apartment or anywhere else.

A girl my boyfriend used to hang out with tried that. They never dated or hooked up or anything but they still would go out to bars and whatnot. She tried crying to him when her and her boyfriend broke up for the 100th time and I shut it down. No girl should be crying to a man in a relationship unless it's his sister or something. She needs to find a friend or her mom to run to.

I wouldn't have an issue with that, & my husband wouldn't have an issue if the situation were reversed. But if you're uncomfortable, he shouldn't ignore that. Compromise is important.

Na he shouldn't have gone over there to console her. If he was that concern, he could have spoke to you and had her come over to your house where you were there as well. But no, he should keep it simply on the phone. But it can become tricky and uncomfortable. Make it clear to him again you don't like it and please to respect that.
