Short Cervix, maybe

So, I went for the anatomy scan yesterday and everything went good with the baby. Is growing healthy and strong. But the technologist told me it looks like I have a short cervix. She said it should measure 3cm but it was in the border measurement. I really don't know the measurement and I have an appointment with my family doc next Friday when he should already have the results. I don't get to see my obgyn until January 20th. I've been reading about this and can bring complications to my pregnancy. I stopped reading because I really don't want to reason know anything negative, I just want a relief to know all will be alright. I really don't know how bad o no it is until I see my doc, but I'm so concerned now :( I try not to think too much about it but it's just in my mind already. I've been praying for this not to be an issue, but this wait until Friday is going to kill me...
