Is 24 weeks too early for a baby shower?

UPDATE: We scheduled our shower for 26 weeks, and didn't even get to attend because I was in the hospital recovering from an emergency c-section as the girls decided to show up at 25+5
.
My husband and I are trying to plan a baby shower, and are wondering if 24 weeks is too early? That would put us right before Thanksgiving. Then it's December and everyone is busy, then it's January and our twins could go any time. Just curious when others have had/are having theirs.

I think we're all kinda in the same situation. We're stuck with a due date right after the holidays and for some one us. Still in winter! Yuck. That being said. I think it's fine. I'm having my right before Thanksgiving too.

No way! I'm due Feb 4th and we are doing ours very early November. Nobody wants to spend more money after Black Friday and Christmas! Come New Year's, everybody is broke! 😂

Have it when ever you want. For my family we like to wait the mth before because we believe it's bad luck to have it too early. Same thing for setting up the nursery. But I say do it when ever you want.

You're taking other people's holiday plans into consideration and that's a Lovely thing.
I think November is just fine, that's when I'm having mine, too.

With all of us, it's tricky. You don't want a baby shower in the middle of the holidays, so we have then earlier than usual.

I don't think so :) I'm having mine November 5th so that anything we get, we have plenty of time to get everything together. Also it's before the holidays which I think is considerate because especially in December, everyone is already spending too much money for the holidays!

I'm not having a baby shower... So much can go wrong during pregnancy and birth, I will only celebrate when my baby has arrived safely.

Whenever is fine. Ours was early too because we live away from home with the army. We happened to be home over thanksgiving so we had it then. I think I was 20 something weeks
