What's this red spot?

My daughter has this red spot in the corner of her left eye. It comes and goes and does not bother her. It's just bizarre. Does anyone know what it could be from?

My newborn has that on both her eyes, so far the doctor hasn't said anything about it to me so it may be normal.

Could she be rubbing it? You could ask her dr next time you go cuz I've never seen that before.
