Dilated to 2cm and 80 effaced (help)

I'm 35 weeks and last 2 days I spent in L & D as they were not sure whether I was going into labor or not. I got admitted there when I had vomiting, diarrhea and dizziness along with some cramping. They checked me for dilation and I was close to 2 cm and having contractions every 5 minutes. They had me.under observation the next day too and luckily I wasn't dilating any further and remained at 2cm 80 effaced and my contractions also stopped. So they let me go. I want to know if there is anything I can do to stop dilating further and also any other tips to make sure I won't go into labor before 37 weeks. Please suggest any tips or advices or precautions
