Brazilian Wax during menstrual cycle

Is it weird to get a brazilian wax when you're on your period? I got an appt for one tomorrow and my period started yesterday. I'm thinking maybe if I wear a tampon it'll be ok?.. Or is it better to just cancel it?

Btw if anyone using this app gave birth recently I'm wondering when it is safe to use tampons again..?
