period already?? 9 weeks postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding

What the hell, I just stopped bleeding 3 weeks ago and I already got my period at 9 weeks postpartum!! I'm exclusively breastfeeding, I thought I wasn't supposed to get it! I feel horrible too... Is this normal?

I was disappointed to get mine after 7 weeks pp. I also ebf. I'm terrified of getting pregnant lol. My baby is only 11 weeks old.

My ob said that if you aren't feeding every 4 hours at least then your period will come back soon.

Same here. LO just literally turned 2mths n BOOM Aunt Flow seems to b making up for lost time. Feel cheated :( Plus Im EB so I had high expectations of not seeing AF for atleast 6mths. Oh well

I breast and bottle feed and I got mine for the first time about a week after she turned 2 months old. I know two other moms who delivered the same day as me. One EBF and the other only formula and they both had their periods way before me.

Yep I'm in same boat. I'm 9 weeks and 5 days postpartum and I got my period 3 days ago. I was just as surprised because I'm exclusively breastfeeding. Also my cramps before bed last night were killer. I had such a hard time changing and feeding my LO for her 8pm feeding before she went down for the night.
