When will baby laugh?

Our LO smiles constantly but has yet to give that hearty belly laugh that we all love to hear so much...how about your LO's? I cant wait!!!

I'm thinking my baby is beginning to laugh a little but I'm not sure. It's kind of like a "huh huh huh" sound when we are trying to make her laugh.

My LO just started laughing about two weeks ago when he was 3 1/2 months. Now he does it over almost anything.

Mine has to be in the right mood, but I can usually get him to laugh when I pretend to gobble on his tummy!

They can start around 3 to 4 months but it can be later.

By early years practitioner advise that their first laugh probably won't sound like we would expect but would be a repetitive sound they make when they're visibly stimulated and happy.

My little one laughs but it isn't like a laugh that his dad or I would do but it's most certainly a reaction to stimulus other than smiling :)

Your baby may already be doing it or they could pick it up later. Either way don't worry. Different times for different babies. There is a baby in one of my groups who is 9 months and has only just laughed recently but her other communication was fabulous!
