when to stop burping baby

I've read that you can stop burping your child when they turn 2-3 months. My baby is almost 3 months and not sure if I should stop burping him. Sometimes he burps by himself not all the time

My baby usually burps as I bring her into position to burp her, but if she doesn't, I proceed to burp her.

Never really thought about it. I just assumed I'd stop when he was eating solids. I don't see any harm in doing it longer though.
