Was drinking allowed at your baby shower?
I didn't really care if people drank or not but my sister mentioned that my dad did not want drinking involved. That this is about the baby and to celebrate her arrival not get wasted and I agree. Most of my family don't even drink so that's okay none of my aunts do and most of my uncles dont. My dad does so I was surprise to hear that from him but happy that he cares. Anyways my bfs family apparently does drink and he said they were planning to get "wasted" it kind of ticked me off but I didn't say anything. I told him I didnt want HIM to be wasted or I would be embarrassed and upset. I know his dad is really against alcohol and he's really religious so I thought the rest of his family would be the same but I guess not. So now they have this idea that they can drink, I said I didn't know that he would need to talk to my sister about that but now im second thinking it and I really don't want liquor involve. I want a fun baby shower but i dont want to look at drunken people especially from people I don't know. I come from a Hispanic Mexican family so yes the whole typical "let's drink" at family parties kind of is common for birthdays but this is kind of a big exception. What are your thoughts??
