Ectopic: my story
During my ovulation period (I did not know I was ovulating) I had sex with a condom. The condom broke, but 15 minutes later I took plan B. I got my period on time and everything was fine.
On August 4th I went to the doctor to get birth control. After a mandatory urine sample the doctors revealed that I was pregnant, very early on, only about a week.
I knew I was not financially ready to have a child and wanted to go to school. I am only 17 and am starting college in a month.
Upon going to planned parenthood to have an abortion they started to notice some things were weird.
My HCG levels were dropping and they couldn't see anything in my uterus.
Upon many many blood draws, my HCG levels continued to drop.
My SO and I were having sex one night when a numbing pain shot through my abdomen. The pain went away about 10 minutes later. So I didn't think I had to go to the emergency room that night. The next morning I had an ultrasound and they found a mass next to my left ovary, with fluid.
The doctor called me and told me that I needed to go to the emergency room.
At this point I still hadn't told my mom about any of this. I was scared to, I knew she would be disappointed in me.
My SO and I were both scared when they took me into the pre-op room. We sat there not knowing what was going to happen. He was crying not knowing if he should call my mom or not.
They took him away so fast, and then I was all alone. I was crying on the operating table as they put me under. I was so alone and scared and confused.
I woke up with him holding my hand, my stomach hurting, and my throat being very sore.
I was discharged 2 hours later, and went home, and my family still had no idea.
I am fine now, I have told my mom and she is being very supportive. She isn't judging me at all, she says she feels betrayed but she is sorry she wasn't there for me.
This is singlehandedly the most scary situation I have every been through.
I am on here only seeking support. So please nice comments only. Thank you ❤️
