GBS and skin to skin after birth?

Question

I tested positive and know it's common and what they'll do and etc.

Once baby is delivered will they still let you do skin to skin before cleaning off baby or will they take him right away to check for anything to do with GBS?

I was GBS positive and had skin to skin right after. Baby and I both had a fever so they did blood work on her to make sure she wasn't infected and everything was fine with my baby.

I was GBS positive but I had antibiotics in my IV when I was in labor. Baby came out perfectly healthy and we had skin to skin like anyone else would.

Usually immediate skin to skin after birth before they weigh and measure. I don't think they do anything for strep b unless maybe you weren't able to get the antibiotics and had a vaginal birth?

So long as you're at the hospital in time to have IV antibiotics four hours before the baby is born everything should be done as normal,  including skin to skin. I'm GBS positive too and my hospital still encourages skin to skin.
