Lol if people find it rude they don't have to come. I'm not throwing it for myself; my sister is an excited Aunt to be again and wants to throw one. My baby deserves to be celebrated if people attended fantastic, if not? That's on them. And if they find it rude I personally don't care because there are way more important things in the world to worry about than baby showers. (Btw I have a 2.5 year old son and I'm expecting my second boy💙 not expecting any gifts just want good company)

I think it depends. My second was born a year and a half after my first and same gender, so I opted out of a shower (even though some friends wanted to do one). Now I'm having my third almost six years after my second, and we will have a shower 1) because we have almost no baby stuff and 2) because so many people want to throw one. If anybody thinks it's rude of us they don't need to come ;)

I wondered this too! I would like to have a celebration but no gifts, we won't know what I'm having, we(I😉) want to wait. I'd like to have something with just my family at least. I have a 2.5 year old and kept all my baby stuff. All my baby stuff was second hand, so some of it needs to be replaced, but I'll be replacing it with more second hand stuff myself. If we have a boy, a friend of mine is going to give me all her boy stuff because she's having a girl, so I will give her all my girl stuff!

I had one for each of my boys because when my oldest grew out of all his stuff I had friends in need of it more than I needed because I didn't know I was gonna plan to have my second baby so soon. And now I'm having a little girl so I will be throwing another shower Or a friend will at least
