Possible lip tie?

I posted a few days ago about feeling like a failure because breastfeeding was not at all going well. My baby ended up with really bad jaundice, and finally after spending the last few days under a biliblanket his levels are under control, and he's starting to gain weight back. I'm pumping and bottle feeding him and he's eating a solid 2.5oz per feeding.
Well I spoke with his doctor about a lip tie, and he said it was unlikely and wouldn't check.
I have an appointment at the lactation clinic on Tuesday but I wanted to post here first as well. From what I've seen online this looks like a lip tie to me but I've never experienced this with my other children. I noticed it when I got him to latch after about 20 minutes of trying, that his top lip curls under no matter how much I pull it up on my breast.

Yes that's a lip tie my son has one, when I was at the hospital all the nurses told me I had a good latch even though I was in pain. It wasn't until I met with my LC a few weeks later that I found out about it, she said a lot of pediatricians don't really do much about them because they will eventually grow out of it as they get older so we're pretty much screwed with pain unless you want to put your baby through a procedure for them to clip it. I'm now on week 6 of ebf and the latch seems to be a lot better even with his lip tie. Good luck momma!

Lip and/or tongue ties are pretty common, but for some reason pediatricians tend to ignore them. It looks like it could be a lip tie, especially if the lip keeps curling under. I'm so glad you're going to a lactation clinic! Good luck :)
